What Does The Following HIV Test Report Suggest?
Question: HELLO DOCTOR, recently i did HIV test and it shows HIV I&II = 0.07. am i infected? i am worried pls hlp..

At present there are 4 attached images but are all a copy of an Echo.
There are some changes noted in the echo summary including mitral prolapse, mild MR(mitral regurgitation), mild-mod TR (tricuspid regurgitation), Mild pah (pulmonary artery hypertension).
There are 4 chambers of the heart.
On the right side, at the top is the right atrium and at the bottom , the right ventricle
Blood comes from the body to the right atrium, goes from the right atrium through the tricuspid valves to the right ventricle which then sends the blood to the lungs for oxygen.
The blood ,which now has oxygen , goes to the left side of the heart. It goes first into the left atrium then through the mitral valves to the left ventricle which then pumps this oxygen rich blood out to the body.
In your results:
(1)mitral prolapse- the valve connecting the left atrium to ventricle through which blood flows, is not closing properly
(2)this means when the left ventricle pumps to send blood out to the body, some of it is also going back up to the atrium- mitral regurgitation
(3)tricuspid regur (TR)- when the right ventricle is sending blood to the lungs , some of it is also going back up to the right atrium
(4)PAH- the pressure in the blood vessels in the lungs slightly increased
(5)normal left ventricle sys function- the left ventricle is pumping well
Because most of the changes are mild you may not necessarily notice an effect but you should try to prevent any further changes
This can be done by: (1)having a good blood pressure, good blood sugar and cholesterol
(2)no smoking
(3)exercise , if it tolerated and allowed by your doctor
