What Does The Following HIV Test Result Indicate?
Brief Answer:
Western blot confirmatory, but has to be repeated.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, Welcome to HCM
Thanks for posting your query.
As per the ELISA test you are having HIV. But western blot is considered to be more confirmatory and as it detects multiple antibodies it is more valuable. Sometimes some of the antibodies develop a bit late than the other. So ELISA picks up the disease earlier whereas Western blot may take little more time to become positive if there is an infection. So it has to be repeated after another 15 days or a month. If it is still shows a negative result then you can ignore the ELISA result and it can be considered that you are free from HIV.

I tested at 3 years and again a year later and received the same result.. I have done several ora quick at home hiv tests and received a negative result
Brief Answer:
Western blot is more reliable, so you are HIV free.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
If it is so, that you had tested many times and except that of the ELISA every other test were negative means, there was some technical error in that ELISA test. Nothing to worry and ignore the same as the Western blot is more confirmatory and valuable. Repeated negative oraquick also confirms the same.
You are HIV free only. Nothing to worry.

Hi,
Welcome once again.
I can understand your concern, Anybody would think like that only. But there was some mistake somewhere in the reporting of the result of your ELISA test. Repeated Oraquick and Western blot established that you are free from HIV and you need not worry at all.
