What Does The Following MRI Report Indicate?

of intravenous or intrathecal contrast.
FINDINGS: There is straightening of the expected cervical
lordosis. Vertebral body height appears normal. There is apparent
minimal anterolisthesis of C2 relative to C3. Prominent anterior
osteophytes present at levels C4-C7. Fatty infiltration involving
the anterior aspect of the endplates at level C6/C7 are noted.
Edema is present within anterior aspect of the inferior endplate
of C5. Focus of T1 and T2 hyperintensity within the T1 vertebral
body likely represents hemangioma. Focus of T1, T2 and STIR
hyperintensity within the anterior aspect of the T2 vertebral
body is consistent with sclerosis. There is mild flattening of
the intervertebral discs at multiple levels, most severe at level
C6/C7. Posterior disc osteophyte complexes at multiple levels
cause some degree of spinal canal stenosis. The included
paravertebral soft tissues are without abnormality.
C2/C3: Facet arthropathy and uncovertebral joint hypertrophy
cause left neuroforaminal narrowing. No significant central canal
stenosis is appreciated.
C3/C4: Mild posterior disc bulge causes obscuration of the
anterior CSF space. Uncovertebral joint hypertrophy and facet
arthropathy causes left neuroforaminal narrowing.
C2/C3: Facet arthropathy and uncovertebral joint hypertrophy
cause left neuroforaminal narrowing. No significant central canal
stenosis is appreciated.
C3/C4: Mild posterior disc bulge causes obscuration of the
anterior CSF space. Uncovertebral joint hypertrophy and facet
arthropathy causes left neuroforaminal narrowing.
C4/C5: Posterior disc osteophyte complex obscures the anterior
CSF space. Posterior disc bulge and right uncovertebral joint
hypertrophy causes right neuroforaminal narrowing.
C5/C6: Uncovertebral joint hypertrophy causes moderate left
neuroforaminal narrowing. Posterior disc osteophyte complex
obscures the anterior CSF space.
C6/C7: Posterior disc osteophyte complex causes mild indentation
of anterior thecal sac. No significant neuroforaminal narrowing
is appreciated.
C7/T1: No significant neuroforaminal narrowing on central canal
stenosis is appreciated.
Impression:
Impression degenative cervical column disease.

Hi again.
I have read carefully the MRI report.
There is obvious degenerative cervical column disease in different levels.
This is consistent with osteophytes, fascet arthropathy, and disc flattening in multiple levels.
Another finding is hemangioma in two vertebral bodies.
Vertebral Hemangiomas are benign vascular lesions that in the majority of cases are occasional findings on column imaging studies.
They grow very slowly and in most cases don't cause any problems. Imaging follow up periodically is often sufficient.
Another finding to address is listhesis ( slipped vertebrae) on C2/C3.
This and entire cervical column stability needs further evaluation with x-Ray films of cervical column in flexed and extended position of the head.
There is only moderate foraminal (exit nerve gap) narrowing and no significant cervical canal stenosis that may need soon decompressive surgery.
All these findings need to be correlated with neurological examination findings and your subjective complains in order to treat your condition right, so I suggest you to consult a spine specialist ( Neurosurgeon) and discuss further treatment.
In my opinion initially should be started treatment with NSAID drugs followed by physical therapy.

Since you 'been through NSAID treatment and physical therapy without satisfactory results, next step in treatment is local injection of corticosteroids ( peri radicular, epidural etc).
This can be done three times in one month distance.
If this fails then cervical decomprression and fusion should be considered.
