What Does The Following MRI Scan Report Indicate?
One of the doctor has confirmed that My wife is pregnant and it won't stay due to infection. When we got the MRI scan, It confirmed that " Enlarged right ovary contain multiple small follicies and 3.4*3.6 cms thin walled unilocular, fluid signal intensity lession ..Simple serous cyst". Is it serious problem, any treatment, What are the chances to get pregnant after treatment.
The infection can be treated.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The multiple small fluid filled follicles can be due to a chronic infection like tuberculosis or endometriosis or a benign finding like polycystic ovaries. Since your wife is already pregnant it is best to get a few blood tests done to find out if the follicles are due to an infection. Your gynecologist can guide you regarding the relevant tests needed. If it is a mild infection then it can be treated and even this pregnancy can be saved with the help of proper treatment. Even if you choose to terminate the pregnancy your wife can conceive again after proper treatment since her left ovary is normal.
