What Does The Following X Ray Report Indicate?
Question: Hi Doctor,
I have just got the Xray done. The report says:
Bones in view appear normal, C.P. angles appear clear, Heart size appears normal, Lung fields show accentuated broncho-cascular markings. S/O CHRONIC BRONCHITIS.
I am actually allergic to cold, strong smell, humidity etc. I start sneezing oftenly, mainly when I get up resulting running nose for few minutes. This can happen many times in a day. I am prone to hoarseness in the voice or suffer from laryngitis if I take anti biotic medicine or medicine like cheston cold for one or two days 2-3 times a day.
Which medicine or treatment will be good for me.

I can understand your situation and problem.
In my opinion you are suffering from allergic airway disease.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done PFT (pulmonary function test), because your chest x ray is suggestive of increased bronchovascular markings. This suggest untreated pulmonary problem.
I think the same allergy is responsible for your x ray changes too.
If PFT shows obstructive defect then you may need following treatment.
1. Inhaled bronchodilators in the form of meter dose inhalers (MDI)
2. Anti allergic drugs.
3. Antihistamine drugs.
4. Intranasal sprays of steroid.
Since all these are prescribed medicines, you need prescription for these.
So better to consult pulmonologist first and discuss all these.
