Brief Answer:
Try meftal-P, test for typhoid, continue antibiotic

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthCareMagic.

I have gone through the details and the reports.
For a child of 2 years of age, a WBC count of 18,700/cumm indicates a bacterial infection rather than a viral infection. The presence of 72% neutrophils confirms the same. Your doctor is prescribing the antibiotic Taxim O forte with the presumption of a bacterial and not a viral infection.
With pus cell count of 3-5/hpf in urine, the possibility of urinary tract infection is less likely. But let the culture and sensitivity reports come before a definite comment can be made on that.

The focus of the infection needs to be identified if possible. It may be indicated by associated symptoms like abdominal pain/diarrhea or cough/respiratory distress. Since the fever is lasting for some time, I would also suggest you to talk to your doctor about getting a blood test done to rule out typhoid.

Please continue giving paracetamol (P-250) to bring down the temperature. If it is not effective and fever is not coming down, you may use Syrup Meftal P 3 ml as per requirement at a minimum interval of 3-4 hours.
You may use tepid sponging with lukewarm water and let the water dry from the skin. Be patient and continue the antibiotic.
