What Does The Following Blood Test Reports Indicate?
I did a vitamin D,B12 blood test before one year and I got a result for them as
Vitamin D = 6.7
Vitamin B12=290
After talking suplemens for 3 months it's rises to
Vitamine D=69
Vitamin B12=700
I did both tests and I got a result
Vitamins D 30
Vitamins B12=429
What is the resone causes both of them to reduced and should I talke other course ?
I have a coldness on my party and tiredness and some times forgetting is there any relation with them if iron and homoglobine and thyroid tests are ok?
Low levels could be due to antibodies or malabsorption
Detailed Answer:
Good day,
Noted your concern.
You had low levels of Vitamin D and B12 and took medicines and they became normal.
Even now the Vitamin D of 30 is a normal value. ( below 30 ng, we consider it as abnormal.
You need sun exposure of atleast 20 minutes a day to maintain the vitamin D levels. If you eat a good diet with meat atleast 2 to 3 times a week, then you will get enough Vitamin B12.
If the Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 reduces again, you may need few tests to find the cause. I suggest you to do tests like Total IGA , ttg IGA , Intrinsic factor, anti parietal cell antibody tests.
Vitamin B12 and other vitamin deficiencies can cause nerve weakness and feeling of coldness in feet.
