Question : I had a second endoscopy and the impressions given are Z-line irregular, and Erythematous mucosa in the stomach. I also had an endoscopy in XXXXXXX and had an infection in my stomach and was on heavy doses of antibiotics. What does this mean? The doctor also biopsied my Z-line.

Brief Answer:
doctor might have taken biopsy to rule out barrets esophagus /dysplasia

Detailed Answer:\
Hi,
If there is irregulat z line or deformity ,biopsy is must to rule out is there any dysplasia that is adenocarcinoma.
If it turned out to be just simple inflammation a long term proton pump inhibitors should be considered and once a year screening should be done
hope this information helps you
thank you
