The nurse called in the report made no mention of this but after reading up on it I frightened I am 73 years of age female and 70 lbs over weight.. Brief Answer:
It is age realted finding and not a serious problem

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

The atherosclerotic changes are expected in the elderly population and not serious. It shows there is wall calcification in the aorta which is usually an age related development.

If there was any abnormality suspicious for any serious problem then your doctor would have discussed what is written in the report.

Hope your query is answered.
