Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I read carefully your query.
This is a normal PAP test result. You have nothing to worry about.I will try to explain it in details:
PAP test is a screening test to detect pre-cancerous changes in cervix in order to diagnose earlier cervical cancer.
"NEGATIVE FOR INTRAEPITHELIAL LESION AND MALIGNANCY " means that there are no malignant changes in the cells taken from the endocervical canal of your uterus. What means that your PAP test is normal.
"Fungal organisms morphologically consistent with candida species are present " means that you may have a fungal infection.Candida is a fungus that is part of normal vaginal flora. When this fungus for different causes (change of pH,antibiotic use, diabetes) overgrowth can cause inflammation and the clinical symptoms of a yeast infection.
If you don't have any symptoms of fungal infection like itching, burning sensation ,vaginal discharge ,you should discuss with your doctor if it is necessary to take a medication for the infection.
" Endocervical and/or squamous metaplastic cells (endocervical component) are present. This is a normal finding and these cells are normal cells from the transformation zone of cervix.
So apart the fungal infection, which is very common and not of concern, your PAP test is normal.
Hope this is helpful to you.
Let me know if you have any other question or doubt to clarify.I will be happy to assist you further.
