Brief Answer:
its correct

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Welcome to HCM,

Please do not worry.
The international standard is to calculate pregnancy is from the first date of the last period.
So it implies that you are 6 weeks pregnant, even though you were having your period that will be considered to calculate pregnancy.
The due date is calculated always from the first day of the last period, and it is exactly 40 weeks from the first day of last period.
The ultrasound machines are also calibrated to calculate according to this convention, and calculate the weeks by that so technically if the ultrasound machine says 6 weeks, the egg was released only 4 weeks ago.
But doctors and ultrasound technician all over the world follow this.

Do not worry your report is accurate, and you did conceive when you ovulate 4 weeks back, but for calculation you are 6 weeks.

Hope this cleared your confusion
Regards

Brief Answer:
don't worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You have conceived when you ovulated, but the pregnancy is calculated from the first day of last menstrual period. So do not worry.

Even the calculations in the ultrasound are calibrated in such a way that it gives the date corresponding to last period, that is 2 weeks more than from the date of ovulation and conception.

This is because most women know when was last period, but date of ovulation is not known and is assumed to be two weeks from that.

Do not stress, the dates show 6 weeks and this corresponds to the scan, even if you ovulated 4 weeks back.

Hope this helps.

Brief Answer:
40 weeks by dates and scan is same as 38 weeks from ovulation

Detailed Answer:
Yes that means at full 40 weeks of pregnancy, you will actually be 38 weeks from ovulation.

Don't worry, and take care.
