Brief Answer:
There is a stone which needs to be dislodged.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to HealthCareMagic, I am Dr Muhammd Ahmad, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.

There is actually a stone stuck in your ureter (the tube which takes urine from kidney to urinary bladder). Now this stone is blocking the flow of urine so it is causing collection of urine in kidney as urine is unable to leave kidney and reach urinary bladder.

This causes pressure in kidney and is causing pain. This is treated in a stepwise pattern first medications are used and if medical treatment does not dislodge the stone then breaking of stone is achieved by using radiation / sound waves , this process is called lithorypsy.

Even if this can not be used then surgery can be done , these days surgey is done with minimally invasive technique and does not need any large incisions.

Your pain will not resolve untill this stone is not dislodged. Now your doctor must be knowing previous postion of the stone, if it is moving forward then he might still keep you on medication till its leaves you body but if it is not moving then you can discuss other options like lithotrypsy with your urologist.

You do not have to panic this problem does take months to resolve you have to be patient just stay in contact with your doctor and keep following care and medication routines.

I hope this answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it.

Regards.
