What Does The Lab Test Report Indicate?
Question: Hello. I am attaching the report of my sister. I am unsure of which specialist to refer to. Also if you can help me to understand the report, if this is something in relation to cancer and what should I do ahead.
Brief Answer:
cancer is a definite possibility
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
This report is concerning for cancer. I guess she is suffering from severe pain over chest wall and shoulder. Considering the age and location, primitive neuroectodermal tumor would be the first possibility.
I would suggest oncology consult and getting a biopsy at the earliest so that treatment can be initiated promptly.
Hope this helps.
I will be available for further followup.
regards

Thanks for the response. Here are the additional findings. The doctor here has suggested immediate surgery. Can you advise.
Brief Answer:
can't see any new report
Detailed Answer:
If you are unable to upload the reports then send to customer care @ healthcare magic.com (no space).
But I don't recommend direct surgery as chemo first needs to be given, depending on biopsy report of course.

Brief Answer:
suggest biopsy followed by chemo
Detailed Answer:
if biopsy proves ewing sarcoma / PNET then chemo for 3-4 cycles then surgery then further chemo +/- radiotherapy. This is the standard protocol
Also PET-CT and bone marrow to complete the staging workup after biopsy result.
