What Does The Pelvic Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Question: Hello, I recently had an Pelvic ultrasound, findings: Two anechoic structures were identified within my right ovary with no significant internal flow with the largest measuring 2.4 x 2.2 x 2.00 cm most consistent with ovarian cysts. Blood flow was identified in bilateral Doppler imaging to the ovaries. My uterus is diffusely heterogeneous. My uterus measures April 9 x 5.6 x 3.9 cm. The endometrial stripe measures 8.3 mm. The right ovary is partially obscured by bowel gas and measures 4.3 x 3.1 x 2.6 cm and the left ovary measures 2.0 x 2.8x 1.8 cm, Fluid was identified within the endocervical canal. There was no significant free fluid in the pelvis. My Estradiol lab result was 511.48. Should I be concerned about this? I have gained about 35+ pounds since July. During my periods is when I have the most pain and produces large clots bigger the quarters. What does this all mean? and is my Estradiol result high?
Brief Answer:
Cyst in ovary needs to be evaluated
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I read your query. Yes your estradiol levels are high.
Estradiol levels are mainly related to growth of follicles in ovary. If there are more follicles, estradiol levels are higher. If you have got this test in middle of menstrual cycle, then this is normal.
This scan picture you have typed seems to be showing endometriotic cyst ( this should have been diagnosed by doctor while performing ultrasound scan). This is the reason for pain during menstruation.
Please see a gynecologist to check if there is endometriotic cyst. If so this needs to be removed by laparoscopic surgery.
