What Does The Presence Of RPOC In A Scan Report Indicate?
Question: My wife went through medical termination on 4th week. Bleeding has stopped...after scan showed RPOC . What kind be done to remove this ?

After medical abortion if retained products of conception are there in uterus there are two options to remove it.
One mesoprostol tablet- I would suggest you to give mesoprostol tablet under doctor's supervision and product may expelled out with bleeding.
Second method - go for surgical procedure of abortion D&C( dilatation and curettage),it is definitive treatment for retained products of conception.
Previously a small amount of RPOC left there in the uterus and presume that they will be clear in there next cycle but now a days it should be removed because it may cause infection.
