What Does The Presence Of Melanocytic Nevus In Pathology Report Indicate?
Its a benign lesion
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Compound melanocytic nevus is a completely benign lesion of melanocytes in the skin. The microscopic features of melanoma are markedly different from compound melanocytic nevus. It could not have been melanoma according to the reports that you have described. The only problem with it is cosmetic appearance. It can be removed in a single sitting under local anesthesia via electro cautery, punch excision or LASER.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
Upon general inspection and examination Compound melanocytic nevus can present as a raised or flat lesion. Both are possible. Tissue diagnosis is much more accurate then clinical examination alone.
