What Does The Red Carrot Shaped Things In Stool Indicate?
Question: I have been having Red carrot shaped things in my stools, they are red on outside and have soft white stuff in the center. What is the cause, and should I be concerned

You say You have noticed red carrot coloured thing in your stools?
Most probably its blood so I want you to know common causes of blood in stools-
Anal fissure (tear in the skin of the anus)
Chronic constipation
Hard stools
Hemorrhoids
Also there are less common causes like
Anal cancer
Angiodysplasia (abnormalities in the blood vessels near the intestines)
Colon cancer

Diarrhea.

My Diet is low carb, less than 80 carbohydrates a day. Lots of meat and eggs. I do not eat any spicy foods. I have had hemorrhoids before, but not in the last 2 months. I noticed this about a month ago, and thought it would go away.

Ok.So you had Hemorrhoids in the past.I will suggest you to get yourself examined again for it from a surgeon just in case it has recurred.
Also I want you to lessen the intake of meat .If you are a strict non-vegetarian then I will suggest you to eat fish.Fish is proved to be protective in colon cancer.
Also increase the fibre content of your diet by having more fruits and vegetables.
Further I will suggest you to consult with your surgeon and not to ignore it.
