What Does The Thyroid Test Result Indicate?
Brief Answer:
Continue same dose of thyroxine
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM. Thanks for posting the question.
Hypothyroidism persisting for more than 2 years is mostly permanent hypothyroidism. Thyroid hormone (eltroxin) treatment is only a replacement treatment.
Once on treatment the target TSH is between 0.5 and 3.5. Your TSH is well within this target. So you just need to continue the same dose of eltroxin.
You can repeat the thyroid function after 3-6 months.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further question I will be happy to help
