Question: I had a CBC/Auto Diff test done because I just found out I'm pregnant and I'm worried because everything is normal but 3 of them are slightly high and I wanted to know if I needed to be concerned about this. My WBC is at 10.5 (10*3/mm3) my MCH is at 32.9pg and my Monocytes-Absolute is at 0.7 (10*3/mm3). I'm taking a prenantal vitamin, vitamin c, vitamin d3 and omega 3's. Please let me know if any of these are a concern. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Not to be concerned.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Jyothi BL and I will be answering your query.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. WBC count is mildly elevated and stress can elevate WBC count. Pregnancy is a stressful condition.

2. Increased MCH indicates increased hemoglobin in cell. Its good.

3. Monocyte count is near normal limits. Absolute counts indicate overall counts based on cellularity. Alone, this level has no significance.

All reports are normal. Not to be concerned about.

Any further queries, happy to help again.
