What Does This CT Scan Finding Indicate?
Question: I would like to understand the ct-scan result on my father lungs he's 76 yrs old, the impression on ct-scan is the following:
- pulmonary new growth with tumor extension to the right lung is highly considered. suggest tossue correlation
- pleural effusion, left
- cardiomegaly
- degenerative osteoarthropathy, spine
- basal pheumonia, left

There is fluid in left pleural cavity and this condition is called as pleural effusion.
There is also pneumonitis(infection) in basal region of left lung.
Cardiac size is also increased.
There are degenerative changes in spine.It is generally age related finding.
