What Does This CT Scan For Lung Nodule Indicate?

default
Posted on Fri, 20 May 2016
Question: I had a lung module removed 2 years ago. I have since had several follow up ct scans. The most recent scan said

There is scarring and postoperative changes in the right
base. No suspicious nodule. No effusion or pneumothorax. There are mild
centrilobular COPD changes. No interstitial abnormality.

My past scans did not use this terminology. I'm worried about the copd. Could this have anything to do with surgery?

I'm worried because the scan I had last year did not show this and now it's there. Everything I read on internet says this is terminal and there's nothing I can do.

If there is doubt you can take second opinion.
It is also important to know proper history like chronic cough, long exposure to irritants etc.
