Question: The information from a recent ct scan as follows;Persistent mediastinal lymphadenopathy of inderterminate malignant potential. Can you help me with this interpretation?

Findings suggest persistent presence of enlarged lymph nodes in mediastinum.Enlarged lymph nodes may be due to many causes like in response to infection,malignancy etc.

CT guided FNAC or bronchoscopy with biopsy can be done for confirmation.
It may be due to sarcoidosis.There are bilateral involvement of lymph nodes in sarcoidosis.
Bronchoalveolar lavage(BAL)and PET scan also helpful in diagnosis of sarcoidosis.
