Acid reflux, Candida overgrowth....
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read carefully all your concerns and report and I can say as follows:
1. With regards to Ct scan findings protrusion of C5-C6. It can not explain your symptoms. Another finding is calcification on palatine tonsils due to inflammation.
It means that you have had a chronic inflammation of your tonsils.
2. Your symptoms like pain in back of your mouth mostly are related with:
- acid reflux
- Candida overgrowth
- chronic tonsils' infection by streptococcus.
If I were your treating doctor I would recommend doing
- Candida swab test of tonsils
- culture of swab for streptococcus
- upper endoscopy to better evaluate if you have acid reflux
Meantime I suggest to:
- use PPI's 40 mg up to 80 mg per day for 4-8 weeks (regularly)
- use two pillows when you lay down
- avoid spicy and chilly foods
- avoid too hot meals
- eat 3-4 hour before go to bed
- avoid unnecessary stress
Hope it was helpful to you!

Also i use very hard pillow as i can never fell asleep on soft one's , so as per your suggestion can i take two soft pillows now?I hope it wont make my neck pain worst ,as i got my cervical spine MRI done because of upper back pain which was not going.Reports Attached.

Hi back,
Omeprazole is a PPI's drug, so you can continue to use it.
With regards to pillows, if you don't feel comfortable with two pillows you can continue to use hard pillow. please take care of your lifestyle and diet
