Core biopsy of breast
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have gone through the reports .
Her FNAC suggest she is suffering from duct carcinoma of breast.
She must now undergo a biopsy which is removing a sample of breast cells for testing .
Biopsy samples are sent to a laboratory for analysis where experts determine whether the cells are cancerous.
A biopsy sample is also analyzed to determine the type of cells involved in the breast cancer, the aggressiveness (grade) of the cancer, and whether the cancer cells have hormone receptors or other receptors that may influence your treatment options.
Then she needs to establish the stage of her cancer. Ther cancer's stage helps determine the prognosis and the best treatment options.
She needs to do a mammogram of the other breast to look for signs of cancer, CT scan of upper abdomen and a Bone Scan to determine the stage of breast cancer she is suffering from.
