Question: Hai I am 54 years old ex alcoholic. Recently underwent LFT. Following are the results. Total Bilirubin-1.3; Conjugated Bilirubin-0.2; Unconjugated Bilirubin-1.1; SGPT(ALT)-17; SGOT(AST)-24; Alkaline Phosphatase-66; Total Protein-7.3; Albumin-4.2; Globulin-3.1; Albumin/Globulin Ration-1.4; GGT-16. When I inquired Physician what are the chances of bringing down total bilirubin and unconjugated bilirubin through exercises, informed not possible and advised to consult Gastroenterologist. Is it so and result any cause for alarm

You can lower your bilirubin levels to normalcy.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,

I understand your concern.

Your bilirubin is mildly elevated.

Rest of the parameters are within the normal levels.

Exercises do not bring down the bilirubin levels.

I advise you to take Tab Hepamerz 1 tab twice a day for 7 days.

This drug has excellent activity against elevated bilirubin.

Elevated bilirubin in not permanent in your case.

Only sustained and very high levels(>10 mg% are known to damage brain and kidney).

Consult a Gastroenterologist with regards to above.
