What Does This MRI Of Lumbar Spine Indicate?
Disc compression at L1-L2
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
There is a noticeable disc compression at the level of L1-L2. A careful examination by a neurologist is needed to detect if any nerve fibers are affected. If the pain is the only presenting complaint without any muscle weakness then it can be treated conservatively with rest pain killers and muscle relaxants.
Physiotherapy is advisable after the acute pain subsides. To deal with the chronic pain local steroid injections may be considered.
I hope this answers your query.
