Question: Can you verify my thoughts, Is the disk between L5 & S1 herniated?

The MRI is normal

Hi and thanks for the query,

It is not surprising however to have back pain with a normal CT scan or MRI of the lumbar and sacral vertebrae.

MRI image presented, in my humble opinion, is within normal limits. I think it is ok. The intervetebral disc between L5 and S1 is normal, with no apparent soft tissue damage. The space between the two vertebrae is of normal width and regularity.

I do think the MRI is normal. A clinical review from your doctor, with other blood tests like the erythrocyte sedimentation rate, to check for chronic inflammation.
