What Does This MRI Report Indicate?
I have following impression of MRI
1) Full thickness supraspinatous tendon tear with retraction.
2) Partial articular surface tear with interstitial fluid in infraspinatous tendon.
3) Rotator interval fluid.
4) SLAP III with globular altered signal in anteroinferior labrum.
Needs surgical repair.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Your MRI scan report suggests that there is a full thickness tear of supraspinatus tendon with retraction. This torn tendon cannot heal with a conservative treatment. This needs an arthroscopic surgical repair. Waiting for 45 days will only add to your disability. It will not get healed up with rest. Rest of the changes like fluid collection and partial tear can heal with rest.
I hope this answers your query.
