What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

CT scan couple weeks ago determined I had a concussion and an old stroke back in May, 2016.
This finding can happen due to acute or chronic conditions, needs detailed evaluation and comparison with previous CT or MRI brain scan
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.
A faint focus of hyperintensity on T2 axial in the region of pons can be seen in many conditions and degeneration. Acute conditions need to be differentiated from chronic conditions on MRI scan. This requires assessment of the area in other sequences like FLAIR, DWI and ADC and SWI. These can help pick an acute condition requiring treatment from a chronic condition which may not require treatment.
I recommend you to please go through the entire report and send in the conclusion to get a better idea of your MRI scan brain finding.
It is possible that the area of interest is due to an old stroke, provided your previous CT or MRI brain scan findings are compared with the recent one.
Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
