
What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

Question: A 32 Yrs old male pt admitted with complaints of severe pain in perineal region for 3-4 days, and diagnosed as Perineal abscess. On examination around 10-7 cm very tender, fluctuant swelling on left side around 2 cm away from anal verge. he was treated with I & D under GA. Kindly confirm whether the cause of perianal abscess is complication of Fistula as per MRI report that is uploaded.

It is other way round, the fistula is a complication of of a perianal abcess
Have gone through the MRI, it shows a fistulous track
Get the abcess drained properly and go for a regular dressing, till it heals from below, I mean there should be no dead space below the skin
Take good antibiotics as per the culture report
Once the wound has completely healed get a transanal ultrasound done to rule out any residual track and get it operated accordingly
