Question: I just had an x-ray of my knee and hip. the x-ray showed nothing. An MRI scan was done and I was told that I have a mediscus tear in my knee. Nothing
in the hip. How ever there was
a large pop and severe pain in my hip. I also seem to have internal pain in my
groin. Could I have both a tear in my mediscus and muscle damage of some type . Extremely weak on the left side unable to stand on one leg.

Brief Answer:
Take medication for 10 days.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

You have mentioned that MRI of knee shows meniscal injury and of hip shows everything is normal.

But problem in hip, you are explaining, shows sprain in muscles, some hairline fracture in hip tear in tendon or muscles around the hip.

As MRI hip shows normal, it means you have sprain of muscles.

So I advise you to take proper rest.

Have cap.rabiprazole empty stomach, tab. aceclofenac100mg+ serratiopeptidase15mg three times a day, cap.pregabalin75mg + methylcobalamine750mcg at night.

Have above medication for 10 days.

If still pain occurs, then get CT scan of hip done and send me the report, sometimes hairline fracture is visible only on CT scan.

For meniscus, tearcyou have to undergo arthroscopic surgery.

I hope you will be alright.

Thanks,
