What Does This MRI Report Of Knee Indicate?

default
Posted on Mon, 11 May 2015
Question: I had a fall. Decided to go see my Kaiser doctor and he ordered an MRI of my knee. Results were: complete MCL tear at femoral origin, partial ACL, no meniscus tear, advanced arthritis PF joint. Doctor said to wear a brace, no surgery needed. It has been 6 months since the fall and knee still hurts. What do you think?

Brief Answer:
have you done physical therapy?

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
Have you done physical therapy. If you have worn the brace and done PT then you probably need a reassessment of your knee. You may need a surgery or injections but you should not still be having pain 6 months out.
If you have not done PT then I would suggest that. You want to avoid surgery if possible but you also do not want to remain with knee pain.
I hope you get some relief soon
