Hi Dr. Sundriyal,
Is the chemotherapy more palliative? I have read some research articles stating that chemotherapy has not proven to be effective in gall bladder cancer patients. Is this true? Sorry, I am just really worried so, I am trying to gather all the information I can.

Brief Answer:
No. It helps increasing the survival.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. Although gall bladder cancer is a bad type of disease as the chances of relapse are higher even after chemotherapy and surgery, still survival gets improved after addition of chemotherapy and hence it is indicated.
Thanks and regards
Brief Answer:
Hello dear. Chemo therapy intent will be curative
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. Post surgery, the intention of treatment by chemo will be curative as it helps some patients to get rid of the disease(cure). So, its not palliative. Hiccups can be a problem after surgery but effective drugs like baclofen or chlorpromazine are available for it.
