What Does This T-score Of -2.6 Indicate?

Question: I just had a Dexa Scan and my T-score is -2.6. I am a 69 yr old white female. Should I take any medications and what about EZorb Calicum I have read about since I don't take any medictions whatsoever. In excellent health.
Brief Answer:
treatment is recommended
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
a T-score lower than -2.5 is a good indication for treatment regardless of other factors. Biphosphonates are first line treatment (alendronate, risedronate, etidronate). Calcium supplements like the one you've mentioned may help if you don't already consume enough calcium with your meals. Checking your bone density again next year (to assess treatment) would be a good idea.
I hope you find my comments helpful!
