My daytime temperature is always normal I.e 97-98 and I don't feel feverish it's the thermometer that goes Upto 99.5 and without medication fever goes away in half and hour , all the blood tests I.e CBC and urine tests are completely normal . Malaria is negative , widal shows everything non reactive Nd just the typhidot serum test shows weak negative . My concern is do I have typhoid which I am not aware of . And I don't have any other symptoms I am as normal as j was before

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your response.
I would suggest testing blood urine and stool culture.
Also PCR for typhoid.
A weakly positive typhI dot may be a false positive test.
On the other hand, it may indicate the smaller and mild forms called paratyphi infections.
The tests I mentioned will help confirm this.
With fever present it's a possibility that you do have typhoid.
However , a rise of temperature by 1 to 2 degree is also normal.
Third , from the query, it's clear that you have evening rise of low grade fever.
That is classical description of tuberculosis.
So you should also test a tuberculin test.
Do you have palpable lymph nodes?
I am sorry that I couldn't give you a definitive answer.
Unfortunately , there are multiple possibilities that need to be considered as I have already mentioned.
Do let us know the reports. I would like to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal
