No significant improvement in left lower lung opacities as well as the right minimal opacities. Findings most likely represent chronic changes given pt's symptoms. CT scan recommended. What does this mean?

These findings are nonspecific and usually indicate benign changes due to chronic bronchitis or smoking. Minimal opacity is also seen as part of lung vessels atherosclerosis. In every case, there is no sign of tumor or malignant disease on this x-rays, but CAT-scan will be more specific and accurate.
