Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX, Hi
I appreciate your concern for your aunt.
After having gone through the result of the lab tests I am of the opinion that she is having Iron deficiency anemia which causes small light colored RBCs along with variation in size of RBCs to pencil shaped cells, oval shaped cells with low hemoglobin level.
Nothing to worry, it is a treatable condition, very common condition in women especially in XXXXXXX set up.
I would like to know the following details about your aunt.
1. Is she vegetarian?
2. Is she suffering from any blood loss, e.g. heavy menses, vomiting blood, passing black stools?
3. Does she take Aspirin or other drugs that cause gastric ulceration or have a history of indigestion or difficulty swallowing?
She needs stool analysis to be done to rule out any blood, or parasitic infection.
Looking forward to receive the reply.
Good wishes

my aunt has no complaints before..normal menstrual cycles ,no h/o of medications. no h/o of blood loss ..stool analysis was not done....does she improve with iron injections or packed cells? n why she had low wbc count
She needs Packed cells or blood transfusion.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX, Hi
Welcome back!
Thanks for your query.
She is having severe anemia and the best treatment available is either giving her Packed cells or Blood transfusion.
Iron injections can also correct her anemia but they will take more time.
The cause of her anemia should be investigated and the underlying cause should be treated like any parasitic disease or nutritional deficiency.
Regarding her WBC count:
The normal count of WBCs in the blood is 4,500-10,000 cells per microliter (mcL). Generally, a count lower than 3,500 white blood cells per microliter of blood is considered a low white blood cell count.
Low WBC count or leucopenia can be caused by various conditions like
1. Bone marrow deficiency or failure (for example, due to infection, or cancer)
2. Certain autoimmune disorders such as lupus
3. Disease of the liver or spleen
4. Infections caused by viruses or typhoid
She needs proper evaluation and relevant investigations to find out the causes of leucopenia.
Hope to have answered your query.
Wishing your aunt a very good health.
