Brief Answer:
White cell counts

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You are concerned about the eosinophil counts and lymphocyte counts on your father. Before I can make any assessment as to the problem I need his full CBC. Without the full CBC I can't get a full picture as to what his overall blood counts are. These results are percentages and need the absolute numbers to see if they are truly high or low.

You can either take a picture of his labs or you can manually enter the results

Looking forward to helping you

Brief Answer:
Elevated white blood cell count

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for submitting the lab results.

The labs show that your father has a mildly elevated white blood cell count. The eosinophil count is the highest and it usually elevates from infection bacterial or viral or parasitic. It can also elevate after acute asthma attack or other allergy attack. So depending on his current state of health he has an acute infection or allergy issue. He would need to address the underlying cause of his illness. Once he gets that treated his WBC counts should return to normal. These levels do no indicate any type of leukemia or blood cancer.

The reason the lymphocyte counts are low is because the eosinophil count is higher than normal.

So which doctor he should consult? Detma, haematologist? MD?

Brief Answer:
Dermatologist

Detailed Answer:
He should see s dermatologist or even his primary care to help with the skin irritation. Once that is resolved all his blood work will return to normal. I would only recommend a hematologist if I suspected he had leukemia which he does not have.
