Brief Answer:
Bilirubin is normal, TSH on higher side
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Can understand your concerns.
Bilirubin levels depends on many factors like preterm, weight, day on which test is done. Considering normal weight of 2.5 kg, term child, on day 4, total bilirubin of 7.07 is normal.
TSH should be below 10, so it is marginally high. At this time, nothing needs to be done. You have to repeat TSH levels at 3 months of age.
I hope this will help you.
Wishing your child good health.
Take care.

what could be reason for high TSH level for new born baby? My TSH is in completely normal range. if there is still high TSh after 3 months and if it is diagnosed properly will my baby have completely normal lifehood like any other baby. I am little bit worried so please let me know the details and how this should be handled.
Brief Answer:
Don't worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome once again.
TSH levels in newborn are usually affected by maternal hormonal levels during pregnancy.
It's just borderline. I have seen many cases and in almost all the cases the TSH is normal at 3 months in borderline cases.
Don't worry. Your child will be normal. Just repeat test after 3 months according to protocol.
Take care.
