What Does This Chest X-ray Report Indicate?

Question: What could this possibly mean? It came up in a random chest X-ray from ER visit for BP spike. I'm 48 yo female, non smoker. Occassional asthma.

"continued hazy appearing infiltrate vs fat pad obscuring the right heart border. Recommend CT scan to be evaluate"

Hi , Welcome to HCM.

First, I will explain the fat pad. There's thin layer of fat around heart which can be seen on chest X-ray depending on obesity of patient.

Secondly, continuous haziness infiltrate could be vessels which travels aside the heart shadow.

If you do not have any symptoms, this both symptoms appears to be normal.
I can elaborate more on this if you could please upload the X-ray film. You can simply upload/attach it the reports section.

You have occasional asthma, which may show lungs more black rather than infiltrate which appears white.
