What Does This Chest X-ray Report Indicate?
I would explain as follows:
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!
I carefully passed through your question and would explain that the findings in your chest X ray are indicative or several degenerative changes in your lungs, related to chronic pulmonary disease, probably asthma.
From the other hand old granulomatous disease may be related to several lung disorders like Tuberculosis, sarcoidosis, etc.
The heart seems to be in a normal shape.
Coming to this point, I agree with your doctor on performing a chest CT scan in order to examine better your lungs.
Some other tests would also be helpful:
- respiratory function tests for possible copd
- PCR and sedimentation rate for inflammation
- Manthoux test for Tuberculosis
- gama INF plasma levels for Tuberculosis.
You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri
