Mildly elevated Basophil and eosinophil
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
You have a history of asthma and had blood work done this past week. The overall blood counts are well with elevated Baso and Eosinophil counts. Since your overall EBC counts were normal the mild elevations in Basophil and eosinophil counts mean absolutely nothing. If you had an elevated WBC then these number would possibly mean infection or allergic reaction. There is nothing here that you need to attend to. Your labs are normal and no intervention or changes in your medical treatment is needed.
It is normal to see elevated eosinophil counts in people with allergies. the elevated eosinophil counts is where the allergic reactants come from. The best you can do is keep your allergies in check. To reduce allergens reduce dust in the house, have your heating system ducts cleaned regularly and have the air filter changed regularly. If you have Dog or cats you may need to consider giving them up for adoption. In your bed room use a mattress cover and pillow covers to reduce dust in bed.
In summary
1. Lab work is normal
2. Mild elevations in Eosinophil and Basophil counts associated allergies and asthma
3. Reduce home allergens
