Question: I just had a CMP done. My AST is 38 and my ALT was 106.
I quit drinking 6 weeks ago
What do I do to bring these numbers down

It depends upon extent of liver damage and that can be seen on ultrasound abdomen which looks for liver size, margins, surface and ehogenecity. These all indicators suggest if gross structural changes have not occurred, then AST and ALT should come back to normal with in six months. Drink plenty of water and avoid unnecessary medicines and alcohol and other liver toxins.
