What Does This Endometrial Biopsy Report Indicate?
Please post the test result.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.
So from your notes I understand that endometrial tissue was normal and atypical cells were found in the cervix. You have not mentioned whether the atypical cells were of high grade or low grade.
At first it is important that you have a HPV test done. If you test positive for high risk types of HPV, it is better to go ahead with total hysterectomy.
If the HPV test is negative and you have low grade cells follow up with colposcopy and biopsy after six months is enough. But if you have high grade cells, then LEEP is necessary. Further treatment depends on its results
If you find my writing a bit confusing, Please post the test result so that I can write back to you what exactly needs to be done.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama
