What Does This Endometrial Thickness Of 10.2 Indicate?

Endmetrial biopsy is required to rule out carcinoma.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:
In your age group, endometrial thickness (ET) at 10.2 mm is mostly suggestive of Endometrial hyperplasia. It may be due to hormonal effect.
However, we need to rule out possibility of early stage endometrial carcinoma through endometrial BIOPSY following D & C.
TREATMENT: Simple endometrial hyperplasia can be treated with Progesterone therapy alone. Periodic monitoring is required on the basis of test reports.
Complex endometrial hyperplasia should be treated with endometrial ablation or symptomatic case (vaginal bleeding) needs definite treatment in the form of total abdominal hysterectomy with removal of both sided ovaries and fallopian tubes (TAH + BSO).
Other supportive treatment may be required (in case of malignancy) according to biopsy test result. Kindly, consult with your GYNECOLOGIST for proper guidance.

Hysteroscopy alone has limited value to confirm malignancy.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up query.
Endometrial biopsy is the less invasive option. It may not give conclusive results every time. Hysteroscopy only shows the gross anatomy of the endometrium and it is often NOT indicative of cancer. Therefore, it is not used routinely, unless in conjunction with a biopsy. It can be used to confirm a diagnosis of cancer after biopsy result.
Some other investigations may be required before treatment planning. These include a chest x-ray, liver function tests, kidney function tests and a test for levels of CA-125.
Hope, it helps for your information. Good luck. Review with test result.
