Question: What does this mean?

FINDINGS:
Symmetric hazy opacities in the bilateral lower lobes are believed to be
secondary to shadowing from breast tissue. No acute infiltrates. No
pneumothorax or pleural effusion. Normal cardiomediastinal silhouette

IMPRESSION:
No acute cardiopulmonary findings

thank you. so is breast tissue shadows common or should I ask for further investigation? i just want to be sure that all is ok. None of the doctors said anything about the report to me so im assuming there was nothing of concern.

Breast tissue shadows are common in females.
Further investogations are needed according to symptoms. Since you have chest pain, we could investigate it further if no cause found on Xray. It depends on the type of chest pain, so I would suggest ECG or CT scan chest of chest, if I am suspecting a heart or lung issue respectively.
