What Does This Platelet Count Of 88000 Indicate?
Question: I have platlet countn of 88000. Is it dangerous??
Brief Answer:
Hello dear. You require evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. I would like to know why the blood counts were checked? Did you have any fever, or some other issues. A platelet count of less than 100000 in otherwise healthy person requires evaluation. If you didnt suffer from fever in last 2weeks then you require following test
Serum b12 level
Folate level
Hiv
Hcv
Peripheral smear
Of course a repeat count after 1week.
Please revert back with reports. A count of 88000 wont cause any issue but less than 50000 can cause bleeding
Thanks and regards

Check up was done as normal routine check up. I don't have fever. I am having some problem with my eye. While working infront of computer somtimes i got blurred. So dr advised me to go for eye che k up with cbc test, lipid profile check up ans blood sugar test. I did my eye check. I got power i my eye. So dr told me to wear glass while working and given me a drop. During cbc test pletlet count shows 88000. Hence dr advised me to get admitted.
