Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. There are many causes of liver showing fatty changes
(i) Increased intake of fatty foods and alcohol
(ii) Over weight and obese patients.
(iii) Those who have fatty liver running in family members.
(iv) Any liver condition that is changing appearance of liver.
(v) Mild fatty liver can also be there in many normal people
You can get your liver function test and lipid profile done to know if the liver enzymes are raised and cholesterol numbers are increased. Please discuss results with your doctor and take required treatment if your tests results are higher than normal. These are blood tests.
2. The ultrasound scan shows that your kidney is showing suspicious reduced functioning. This is mentioned as increased grade I cortical echogenicity. Kidney size is normal. It is important to do kidney function tests like serum creatinine, blood urea, serum albumin and globulin which are blood tests. Urine tests like routine urine and 24 hours urine protein might also be required.
3. Please consult with your doctor and get the above tests done for liver and kidney functions. There is a possibility of mild disease which needs to be confirmed by doing certain specific tests.
Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek
