What Does This Routine Urine Examination Report Indicate?
Question: My Mother is a 69-yr old Diabetic (under control with medicines), having had Angiography (2 simultaneous) in 2013. She suffers from Osteoporosis, Parkinson's Disease for past 6-7 years and she is on medication for all these. She occasionally complains of burning sensation while urinating and has had UTI in the past (few times). She recently complained of burning sensation (quite a lot) while passing urine. Her Urine R/E Examination shows Physical Color of Reddish with Blood and Specific Gravity >=1.030 with pH=5. Proteins are present (3+ or 300mg/dL) with Leucocyte Esterase as Positive. RBC are >100/HPF and Pus Cells are 5-7 WBC/HPF. She has no backache to speak of over and above due to Cervical & Lumbar Spondylytis. Urine Culture Analysis is still awaited. Please advise.
Also, she has had Breast Cancer with Left Breast Masectomy in 1998 and has had required sessions of Chemo and Radio-therapies....goes in for Annual Mammography Tests. She seems fine from the Cancer-front.

3. renal function test
4. once the above results are out i recommend biopsy of the kidney as soon as possible
