Question: you recently advised me concerning an epididymal cyst on USS where you advised that it would not be a cancerous tumour.

I have conflicting reports concerning a later procedure if necessary. one source says to drain and the other recommends removal.

what do you suggest

Brief Answer:
Epididymal Cyst is a benign cyst and does not require treatment .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have been diagnosed to have Epididymal Cyst as detected on Ultrasound Scanning of Scrotum.

Epididymal cysts are benign in nature and no treatment is required .

Surgical treatment is advised only in very rare case if it gets infected or increases in size .Total removal of the cyst is the treatment of choice .Draining the cyst is not advisable as the cyst gets filled up again over a period of few months causing recurrence .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
